What is the MET at the end of each activity and how do you calculate calories & Oxygen liters?
X
1 MET = the energy (oxygen) used by the body as you sit quietly, perhaps while talking on the phone or reading a book. The harder your body works during the activity, the higher the MET.
Any activity that burns 3 to 6 METs is considered moderate-intensity physical activity.
Any activity that burns > 6 METs is considered vigorous-intensity physical activity.
More information in CDC site
In another expression, a MET also is defined as oxygen uptake in ml/kg/min with one MET equal to the oxygen cost of sitting quietly, equivalent to 3.5 ml/kg/min.
By using METs, kcal/min is calculated as follows: METs × body weight in kilograms ÷ 60
Oxygen consumption in liters per min= METs × body weight in kilograms × 3.5 ÷ 1000

¿Qué es el IMC
Body Mass Index (BMI) is a number calculated from a person’s weight and height. BMI is a reliable indicator of body fatness for people. BMI does not measure body fat directly, but research has shown that BMI correlates to direct measures of body fat, such as underwater weighing and dual energy x-ray absorptiometry (DXA).
1, 2
BMI can be considered an alternative for direct measures of body fat. Additionally, BMI is an inexpensive and easy-to-perform method of screening for weight categories that may lead to health problems.
¿Cómo se utiliza el IMC
BMI is used as a screening tool to identify possible weight problems for adults. However, BMI is not a diagnostic tool. For example, a person may have a high BMI. However, to determine if excess weight is a health risk, a healthcare provider would need to perform further assessments. These assessments might include skinfold thickness measurements, evaluations of diet, physical activity, family history, and other appropriate health screenings.
Actividad Física punta
The ideal level of activity is at least 30 minutes of moderate activity on five or more days a week, or at least 20 minutes of vigorous activity on three or more days a week.
La ingesta de punta
Experts recommend eating 5 to 9 servings of fruits and vegetables a day. Try to eat a variety of different colored fruits and vegetables daily, especially darker green and yellow/orange choices. Fresh, frozen, chilled, canned, dried, and 100% fruit and vegetables juice all count. But limit or avoid fruits or vegetables that are high in added fat, sugar or salt.

¿Qué es un percentil
After BMI is calculated for children and teens, the BMI number is plotted on the CDC BMI-for-age growth charts (for either girls or boys) to obtain a percentile ranking. Percentiles are the most commonly used indicator to assess the size and growth patterns of individual children in the United States. The percentile indicates the relative position of the child’s BMI number among children of the same sex and age. The growth charts show the weight status categories used with children and teens (underweight, healthy weight, at risk of overweight, and overweight). Click
for an example of how some sample BMI numbers would be interpreted for a 10-year-old boy.

Basal metabolic rate (BMR) is the amount of energy expended while at rest in a neutrally temperate environment, in the post-absorptive state (meaning that the digestive system is inactive, which requires about twelve hours of fasting in humans).
¿Qué es la AMB
Formula based on
Mifflin, ST St Jeor research in 1990
which is 5% more accurate than equation by Harris-Benedict equation in
a survey in 2005
. Also reference to
Basal metabolic rate in Wikipedia
The BMR data is for referenc only to monitor your daily food intake. Other factors also influence the calory needs.
