BMI is a reliable indicator of body fatness for people. BMI does not measure body fat directly, but research has shown that BMI correlates to direct measures of body fat, such as underwater weighing and dual energy x-ray absorptiometry (DXA).1, 2 BMI can be considered an alternative for direct measures of body fat. Additionally, BMI is an inexpensive and easy-to-perform method of screening for weight categories that may lead to health problems.” Obviously, though BMI is not a 100% accurate tool to tell you if you are overweight, it is a very useful tool to let you know what status you are! It is easy to use, applied to both adult male and female.  Beside height and weight, kids under 20 years  old need ages and sex to estimate status. For kids, a percentile is used to tell status.
Many websites have BMI calculation functionality but some of them are lack of ability to convert between English and metric systems. Or if they provide such ability, they are simply in different places. Very few sites provide both calculations for adult and kids. Our site integrates them in a place. It is easy to toggle between adult and kids. English and metric systems are automatically converted if one of the system data is entered. Tips at hand are certainly a useful and fun!
